The Resurrection and Moral Theology: Does It Make Any Difference?

The following is an excerpt from the forthcoming book, The Resurrection-Effect in Christian Life and Thought. In a concluding chapter, the strange absence of reference to the resurrection in ethical and moral deliberations is considered. Here, we take up this question and consider more positively the resurrection-effect in the theory and practice of Christian morality, and in the discernment of the ethical values which profoundly influence world history.
